1990年代より現在に至るまで、常にクラブシーンのど真ん中で、シーンを牽引し続けるDJ / プロデューサー、Masanori Ikedaこと池田正典の新作がドロップ！
"MU EP"と題された本作は、東京を中心に日本全国をテリトリーとして、常にアンダーグラウンド・シーンの中心で活動し続け、尚かつ幅広い支持を獲得している池田正典による、オリジナル2トラックEPである。
EPのタイトルにも冠された楽曲"MU"は、シンプル且つソリッドなピアノリフとベースラインがグルーヴを引っ張り、時折インサートされるサンプルがアクセントとなって展開するディープ・ハウス！
後半から登場するシンセ・カッティングが、より一層聴くものの意識を高みへと誘ってくれる。
そしてカップリングで収録された楽曲 "Fantom Finger"は、その名の通り超絶なシンセ・ソロが圧倒的な存在感を見せつけるコズミック・フュージョン・ディープ・ハウス！

Masanori Ikeda (池田正典）プロフィール
1990年代初期よりロンドンでDJの活動を始める。
伝説的クラブWAG等の様々なレジデントDJを経て帰国後、活動の拠点を東京に移し音楽制作の活動も開始。
Masanori Ikeda、ソロユニットMansfieldや数々の名義でアルバム、12インチEPを発表。中でも2008年にリリースした"City Lights"は、アナログ・リリースされると即ソールドアウトになるほどの人気を博した。
諸作品は、国内外の様々なコンピレーションアルバムにもライセンスされ、リミキサーとしても様々なアーティストのRemixを手がける。そしてDJ、選曲家として様々なオフィシャルMix CDシリーズやコンピレーションアルバムを各社（V2,Avex,EMI,Flower Recored他）から発表。ハーゲンダッツ、JRA他のCM音楽プロデュースも多数手がけている。
近年はその膨大な音楽知識とコレクションから、様々なオブスキュアー・ダンスミュージックをシームレスに紡いでいくDJスタイルで、主要オーバー＆アンダーグラウンド・クラブの週末を沸かせている。2013年はMax Essa主催のJansen JardinからAfro Tipsy EPのアナログリリース、日本が誇る老舗ダンスミュージックレーベルFlower RecoredよりNew EPのデジタルリリースがBeatport等、様々な世界主要ダンスサイトから配信を予定しているなど、創作活動も活発に行なっている。
2013年も、様々な作品のリリースが決定しており、その活動には目が離せない。

Masanori Ikeda Profile
DJ and producer, Masanori Ikeda, starts his DJ career in London in the early 1990s while also working at Soul Jazz Records.
After being a resident DJ in many clubs including the legendary West End club, Wag, he returns to Japan, moving his base to Tokyo, establishing his musical activities there.
From the late 1990s, as Masanori Ikeda, Mansfield, his solo unit and many other alias', he releases many albums and 12 Inch Singles/ EPs.
His works have been licensed to many domestic and overseas compilations and he has been also proactive as a remixer, remixing various artists.
And as a DJ and selector, he has produced and released many official mix CDs series and compilations from many record labels such as V2, Avex, EMI, Flower Records, etc.
He has also produced music for TV commercials such as Haagen Dazs, JRA, etc.
In recent years, with his unique DJ style that seemlessly weaves his vast musical intellect and collection of various obscure dance music,
Masanori rocks the leading overground and underground clubs every weekend.
In 2013, he is about to release a new vinyl only EP called Afro Tipsy from Max Essa's label, Jansen Jardin and from one of Japan's leading, established dance music labels,
Flower Records, he has a new EP coming out digitally, from all good dance music specialty websites such as beatport, etc.
